Transfer your domain to PK Hosting

Bring your domain over in a few simple steps — no downtime, local support, and a free year added on most extensions.

Transfers start from Rs 1,999 and usually add a year to your domain. Just registering instead? Search a new domain.

How It Works

Four steps to move your domain

You handle the first two at your current registrar; we take care of the rest.

1

Unlock your domain

Sign in to your current registrar and turn off the transfer lock (sometimes called registrar lock or theft protection).

2

Get your EPP / auth code

Ask your current registrar for the EPP code (also called the auth or transfer code). It's usually in the domain settings or emailed to you.

3

Start the transfer here

Enter your domain above, continue to checkout, and paste the EPP code. Pay the transfer invoice to begin.

4

Approve & relax

Approve the confirmation email from your old registrar. We complete the move and keep your site and email running the whole time.

Before you start

A quick checklist so your transfer goes through the first time.

  • The domain is unlocked at your current registrar
  • You have the EPP / auth code
  • You can receive email at the domain's admin address
  • The domain is more than 60 days old (and wasn't transferred in the last 60 days)
  • It isn't within a few days of expiry (renew first if it is)

Moving your hosting too?

We'll copy your whole site and email across for free, with no downtime. See free website migration.

Zero downtime

Your website and email keep working throughout. Nothing goes offline while the transfer completes.

Free DNS management

Point your domain with our nameservers or keep Cloudflare — full control from an easy dashboard.

A free year added

For most global extensions the transfer includes a one-year extension, so you don't lose time you've paid for.

Local support

Stuck on an EPP code or a stubborn registrar? Our team in Pakistan walks you through it on WhatsApp, phone or ticket.

After the transfer, point your domain in minutes

Once your domain is with us, set our nameservers to let PK Hosting manage DNS — or keep Cloudflare and just add the records from your hosting service. Either way, the dashboard shows the exact values.

Common Questions

Domain transfer FAQ

The questions people ask most before moving a domain to us.

How long does a domain transfer take?

Most global (gTLD) transfers complete in about 5 to 7 days once you approve the confirmation email, because the losing registrar has a mandatory waiting period. You can often speed it up by approving from your old registrar's control panel. .pk transfers follow PKNIC's process and our team helps where manual steps are needed.

Will my website or email go down during the transfer?

No. A transfer only moves who manages the domain — your existing DNS records keep resolving throughout, so your site and email stay online. We only change nameservers when you ask us to, and we confirm everything works first.

What is an EPP or auth code?

It's a password that authorises a domain transfer, issued by your current registrar. It's also called an authorisation code or transfer code. You request it from your current registrar and paste it into our checkout when you start the transfer.

How much does a transfer cost?

A transfer is priced like a registration for that extension, and for most global extensions it adds a full year to your domain, so you're paying for time rather than a fee. The exact amount is shown at checkout once you enter the domain and code.

Can I transfer a .pk domain?

Yes. .pk-family transfers follow PKNIC's rules, which can require extra verification. Start the transfer here and our support team will guide any manual steps needed to complete it.

Can I transfer a domain within 60 days of registering it?

No. Registry policy locks a newly registered domain (and one that was recently transferred) for 60 days — it cannot be unlocked or transferred out during that window. Wait until 60 days have passed since registration, then unlock it and start the transfer.

Why won't my transfer start?

The most common reasons are that the domain is still locked, the EPP code is wrong or expired, the domain is under 60 days old (see the 60-day rule above), or WHOIS privacy is hiding the admin email. Fix those at your current registrar and try again, or contact our support team.
