The domain payment in year 3 prepays years 3 and 4. That full cash payment is included; it is not split in half.

Assumes the renewal prices you enter stay the same. Include applicable tax in your amounts if needed. Promotions, refunds, prorated upgrades, expiry recovery fees and existing prepaid service periods are not calculated.

Why the renewal total matters

A low first-year price can leave out domain renewals, Windows licensing, backups or setup. Compare the same services over the same period. This calculator shows cash payments; a two-year domain term can require payment now for coverage beyond the three-year comparison.

How the calculation works

Year one includes the first annual hosting payment, first domain term, twelve monthly extras and setup. Years two and three use your annual hosting renewal amount. A one-year domain renews in both years; a two-year domain renews only in year three. The example begins at the start of both services, not halfway through an existing contract.

For .pk, PKNIC uses two-year billing periods. Enter the full term amount. Do not enter an annual equivalent in a field labelled β€œfirst term.”
