Change your PHP version
Switch the PHP version your site runs on from the dashboard.
Different apps need different PHP versions. To switch:
- Open Dashboard → Hosting → your website → PHP.
- Pick a version and save. Modern WordPress and Laravel run best on PHP 8.1+; some older scripts need 7.4.
If your site breaks right after an upgrade, an old plugin or theme is probably incompatible — switch back to the previous version, update the plugin/theme, then move up again. A blank white page after a version change almost always means a PHP fatal error; lower the version to get back in, then check your error log in Files.
