Email settings — IMAP, SMTP and secure ports
Use port 993 for IMAP and 465 (or 587) for SMTP when configuring mail clients.
When you create mailboxes on your hosting plan, configure your phone or desktop client with:
- Incoming (IMAP): port 993 with SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): port 465 with SSL/TLS, or port 587 with STARTTLS if your client prefers it
The server hostname is usually mail.yourdomain.com or the hostname shown on your hosting welcome email. Use your full email address as the username.
If mail stops after a migration, double-check that MX records point to the correct server and that you recreated every mailbox on the new host before changing DNS.
