Request reverse DNS (PTR) for a VPS
PTR records are set on the IP by us, not in your DNS zone. Ask support with the hostname you want.

Reverse DNS (a PTR record) maps your public IP back to a hostname. Mail servers check it. You cannot set PTR in the normal DNS editor.
- Create a matching A record first, for example
mail.yourdomain.comβ your VPS IP. - Open a ticket with the service name, IPv4 address and the hostname you want as PTR.
- We set it on the IP at the provider. Propagation can take a few hours.
Shared hosting uses the server's shared IP and platform mail hostname β customers do not get a custom PTR on that pool.
