Back up and restore a VPS
Combine provider snapshots with your own off-server copies. Restores are requested by ticket.

Treat snapshots as convenience, not the only copy:
- Premium: one daily provider snapshot (typically the latest copy).
- Cloud: paid backup add-on for daily snapshots; not included in the base plan.
- Your copies:
rsync, database dumps, or an object-storage target you control.
To restore a provider snapshot, open a dashboard ticket with the date and what to roll back (whole disk vs one path). There is no self-serve recovery console and no contractual RTO.
We use a staged migration designed to minimize downtime. DNS propagation, application behavior and the old provider can still cause temporary interruption, so zero downtime is not guaranteed.
